The Industrial Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for the preparation of the Quality Management System documentation to ensure effective application of Quality policies, procedures and specifications for company products. Responsible for ensuring Code compliance to ASME, National Board and any additional codes or standards. Plan and coordinate Quality related activities of costumer contract to ensure compliance with contract requirements and adequate documentation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to documentation writing and adherence, ensuring code compliance, Internal Auditing, CAPA and Continuous Improvement.

The Job:

  • Under the direction of the Quality Manager, develop procedures and forms to conform to applicable ASME and National Board code and/or criteria, requirements of regulatory agencies, specifications of customers and Quality Manager. Review and revise as necessary.
  • Provide assistance as required in issue and maintenance of Quality Manuals in compliance to Code and customer requirements.
  • Review customer special requirements where needed and ensure required compliance with codes/specifications prior to acceptance to ensure compatibility with company’s procedures and specifications.
  • Initiate projects to reduce department/company cost by participating in ongoing Continuous Improvement, CAPA and Non-conformance evaluation.
  • Oversight of the Calibration Program to ensure compliance with Code, State and Company requirements.
  • Responsible for Certified Individual new/renewal process.
  • Under direction of the Quality Manager, perform Internal and/or Field Audits, and RCA/process/documentation spot checks.
  • Provide Quality support for Customer Audits, when required.
  • This is an office based (On-Site) position and will require approximately 20%-25% travel

We are looking for an innovative, driven, and motivated individual to join our Quality team. While working with our teams you will learn how our account management teams help users define requirements, how our engineering teams leverage agile design and development methods to create greater value faster, and how our projects team execute to deliver as promised, on time and within budget. Essential to the success of the Quality Assurance Engineer role, you will help educate on, develop, audit and continuously improve the Quality Management Program. You will also be a key player in developing critical metrics that identify areas of improvement within the Quality Management System. The successful candidate will be curious, resourceful, ambitious learners motivated to accomplish results as individuals and contribute as members of a team.

You will bring with you:

  • BS degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred, or experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • At least five years’ experience in a Industrial Quality Assurance role and two in an auditing role, preferably in valve operations.
  • Capability to work alone and within a team environment, while maintaining a positive outlook
  • Ability to take detailed direction, while effectively listening and communicating tactfully, verbally and written
  • Travel ~20%, with prolonged standing and the ability to lift 35 lbs.
