We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Quality Assurance Supervisor on our AMA Insurance team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2 days a week in the office.

As Quality Assurance Supervisor you will ensure changes to the Insurance Agency’s systems correctly incorporate and comply with new rates, terms, and other changes. Manage the Agency Model Office (MO) staff. Ensure staff is fully engaged on all assigned projects and follows Agency testing procedures and processes to ensure high quality production deliverables with near zero defects. Conduct annual reviews of Model Office staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage all Agency Model Office Testing

  • Allocate Model Office workload across all Model Office staff members based on skills required for tasks
  • Coordinate tracking and resolution of any problems identified during testing
  • Communicate testing activity to Project Managers and business “customers”, including any role of business end users required to successfully complete test plans
  • Review Model Office work product to ensure all required documentation is created, executed and approved by Project Teams. Ensures accuracy to production is greater than 97%, if accuracy falls below accepted percentage, develop, present and execute mitigation plan
  • Develop measurement matrix to measure Model Office accuracy and efficiency. Present data at monthly meetings
  • Develop and continuously improve test scripts
  • Manage Vendor ticketing process. Ensures all reported incidents are entered into the vendor ticketing system and ticket processing and execution follows ticket process flow. Develop dashboards or reports to report on ticket status and aging.
  • Perform research to ensure testing approach is optimal for the Agency from technology and methodology perspectives
  • Work closely with Project Managers and business staff to ensure accurate, controlled, positive and negative testing will meet objectives and align with time frames for each project
  • Participate in the definition of user requirements performing analytical work as needed to bring about effective and efficient test plans and solutions to issues that may impact execution of test plans
  • Develop and execute assigned test plans following all required workflow steps and test processing rules

Staff Management

  • Recruit, train, and manage performance for all Model Office staff; ensure staff is fully engaged
  • Ensure staff’s skill levels support efficient and effective testing; identify and implement appropriate training as needed
  • Responsible for setting objectives, evaluating performance, and developing staff

May include other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience including developing and implementing software test plans and developing and communicating technical documentation
  • Experience in Insurance industry preferred
  • Previous management or supervisory experience is preferred; must be able to develop organizational talent through ongoing training and measurement
  • Polished interpersonal skills, including proven liaison and relationship-building skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead others to prioritize, complete, and communicate results of testing plans for multiple concurrent projects within deadlines
  • Able to resolve problems or propose new approaches to management as needed
  • Able to work extended hours when required to meet required deadlines
