Job Purpose:

To ensure finished products meet specifications and prepare them for shipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Product Inspection
  • Cleaning Product
  • Preparing Product for Packaging (folding, rolling, etc.)
  • Package Products (per packaging specifications)
  • Complete documentation for moving finished product.
  • Maintain documentation for tracking quality and productivity.
  • Apply Design/ Engineering specifications.
  • Maintain 5S work area.
  • Other duties assigned by management.

Education/Experience:

Prefer high school graduate or GED. Need minimum of two (2) years of experience in Manufacturing Quality Assurance.

Specific Job Skills Required:

  • Must be able to prove regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment toward the job and the mission of the company.
  • Proven ability to organize time and work without close supervision.
  • Ability to accurately utilize measuring instruments (tape measure).
  • Ability to prove competency in detecting abnormal conditions and non-conformance.
  • Must be familiar with computer and prove ability to learn the programs used.
  • Good math skills to calculate dimensions.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements daily.
  • Ability to cooperatively work with all coworkers to achieve common goals; communicating effectively and sharing information and resources.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Constant standing, reaching, handling/grasping and touching/ feeling of product.
  • Frequent bending, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Cervical and torso twisting, crawling, crouching, kneeling, pushing/ pulling as a team up to 100 plus lbs., reaching, squatting, walking and sitting (including on the floor).
  • Occasional balancing, climbing, team lifting and carrying up to 100 lbs., with assistance from a group of Team Members pushing/pulling up to 600 lbs.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust/focus to visually inspect product(s).

Relationship and Roles:

  • This position will report directly to a Quality Team Leader.
  • This position interacts with co-workers and all production leaders.

Work Environment/Safety:

Climate controlled environment. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Overall, no Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, however, on some instances, this job may require the wearing of a variety of PPE that will be provided. If PPE is necessary, the employee will be mandated to wear it.
