Kutztown University Dining Services currently seeks a dedicated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Receiver.

As an integral member of our staff, the Receiver is responsible for inspecting, accepting, stocking, and storing incoming shipments of various food products, equipment, and materials.

Job Responsibilities

• Receives and inspects various vendor shipments, ensuring the condition of all deliveries complies with safety and quality standards
• Updates the Receiving Log for all inbound deliveries in an accurate and timely fashion- reports any discrepancies or quality issues to management
• Utilizes proper transport and transfer methods of deliveries to ensure inventory integrity
• Rotates the stock of in house products to promote quality/freshness and decrease product waste
• Keeps receiving areas and storage areas including refrigerators, freezers, shelves, and closets neat and clutter free
• Assists with the stocking of new products and materials
• Ensures the security of company assets at all times

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment both independently and within a team
• Must be able to stand for entire duration of shift
• Demonstrates an ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
• Possesses the ability to provide excellent customer service
• Knowledge of inventory control methods highly preferred
• Basic math and counting skills
• Consistently shows up for all shifts on time and in proper uniform
• Must be willing to comply with all safety policies and regulations
• Involves frequent lifting and transporting of items weighing upwards of 50 pounds

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
