The Regional Manager, US Power Operations will ensure the safe and reliable operation of the generation facilities located within their region (wind + solar). As a top-level leader, you will ensure Enbridge values and expectations are properly applied to and ensure they are led effectively.

What You Will Do:
Support the operation and maintenance of the facilities within the operating region, in accordance with agreed operating plans and budgets.
Handle commercial and operationally critical matters that require timely escalation from site level.
Proactively manage external and internal stakeholders in an effort to reduce operating and commercial risk.
Drive value creation process to increase revenue and reduce cost.
Safety

Lead the application of Enbridge’s Safety Management System with focus in the field and on site.

Ensure all people (employees/vendors) are qualified and demonstrate technical proficiency to perform safe and efficient operations activities.
Engage employees in a work environment and work practices that support development and a healthy bottom up culture.
Work together effectively with people from the entire Enterprise to establish, develop and improve support services vital for successful field operation.
Reliable Operations
Accountable for all aspects of the operations and maintenance activities for the region, including Enbridge operated sites and joint venture assets.
Respond to and handle urgent operational issues when vital (serial defects, large repair campaigns etc.).
Develop, articulate and implement plans that are needed to address complex operational issues, acquiring consensus from leadership and report out progress.
Drive continuous improvement within your area of responsibility.
Compliance
Coordinate all Enbridge agreements within the region (Turbine OEM SMA’s, vendor agreements etc.), Enbridge policies/procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Understand market compliance controls and rules to meet electricity system operators’ requirements.
Financial Performance
Develop, handle and administer the regional budget and find opportunities for cost control, optimization, and cost reduction.
Manage financial liabilities and risks of the assets.
Accountable for the P&L of the region on a monthly basis.
Partners
Build community engagement and activities which heighten Company profile and brand reputation.
Develop strong strategic and ongoing relationships with all external partners including the public, first responders, First Nations, landowners, media, service providers, technical and financial regulators.
Who You Are:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or another related field with 10+ years progressive and proven experience in Field and Energy operations management or equivalent mix of education and experience.
Knowledge of operating codes, standards, regulations, and industry practices.
Demonstrated ability to lead across functional groups within a large organization using problem solving, technical background, and sound decision making.
Strong financial acuity for budgeting, forecasting, understanding of revenue opportunities, market variables and commercial contract underpinnings.
Operations management experience in power/ renewable generation facilities is preferred.
Understand the value stream of operations ad maintenance in a remote power plant.
Working Conditions:
Frequent travel (25-40% depending on where successful candidate is based)
Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 45 amount of pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects 45 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
Must meet requirements of fit for work which includes, but is not limited to, demonstrating hand, arm, back and leg coordination needed to ascend and descend a wind tower and complying with a weight restriction of 132 kg (or 290lb) total climbing weight. Employee understands that these requirements may be modified at the Company's discretion.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
