Independent contractor – Insurance Inspector Cooperstown and Surrounding Areas

Gardner Group is seeking an as-needed to part-time homeowner and commercial insurance inspector based in the Cooperstown, NY area. You will be working remotely and independently to conduct insurance underwriting inspections on a deadline. This position has the opportunity for additional volume and time based on availability and your success and production.

Gardner Group is a fast-growing, regional provider of insurance loss control services in the Northeast, as well as a developer of the proprietary inspection software platform ViewSpection. Our field inspectors gather property and operations information for residential and commercial properties. Our reps normally work in a 20–50-mile radius.

Along with gathering information about properties, the other role is to be a "defect detective". Successful applicants are usually already out and about in their defined working territory. This is a part-time position that can work very well in combination with other employment.

Compensation: This is an independent contractor (W9) field position that pays by the case completed. We pay BY THE CASE:

• Home Inspections start at $20.00
• Commercial inspections start at $45.00
• All assignments typically have 20 day due dates for flexibility

Gardner Group is 100% virtual. Our staff is located throughout the US.

• This is a part-time position and volume fluctuates based on assignments
• This is a 1099 contractor position that requires a completed W-9
• Our system creates independent contractor invoices
• We offer direct deposit and pay contractors every two weeks
