Position Summary:

Meyer Ace Hardware is a fourth-generation owned retail hardware business that prides itself in servicing our customers and the community in which we live. We are looking for individuals with outgoing personalities and helpful attitudes to join our award-winning team.

Requirements:

Ability to comfortably use a cash register, telephone, and other equipment as needed

Exceptional customer service skills & the ability to help maintain a customer focused culture

Ability to communicate professionally with customers and team members

A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required

Responsibilities:

Provide prompt and courteous customer service

Precisely and accurately handle cash, checks, and other types of payment

Be knowledgeable and actively participate in all sales promotions and other campaigns

Practice suggestive selling and build customer relations

Actively encourage customers to join the Ace Rewards program and explain the benefits of joining

Address customer complaints in a positive manner, work diligently to resolve any conflict and escalate to management when necessary

Actively participate in store communication and directing associates for customer carry outs when appropriate

Execute daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by management

Cooperate with others, work well as part of a retail team, and share ideas for improvement with management

Assist customers with finding the product they need; make suggestions to the customer on what product to use based on their needs

Leave the customer with a lasting impression of a friendly place with a helpful smile and invite the customer to come back and see us again soon

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
