We are looking for an experienced POS Retail Specialist primarily responsible for providing effective support to the co-operative, acts as liaison between stores, VAR’s and Allegiance Headquarter. Trains store front-end personnel, bookkeepers, scanning coordinators and receiving clerks and any others as needed in the use of store point-of-sale equipment, electronic payment systems, time-and-attendance systems, in-store processor systems, the loyalty program and anything new. Understands food supermarket sector and other issues related to it. 75-95% Metro area travel and valid Driver’s License is required for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Install, train, assist and support store personnel with including, but not limited to:

· POS system

· Scanning system, including, but not limited to, pricing audit, scale management and automated DSD receiving processes

· Store tagging process

· Loyalty promotional processes

· eCommerce order fulfillment process using technology and shared best practices

· Member Portal

Excel Knowledge:

· Advanced Excel knowledge enabling the analysis, transformation, and reformatting, for import/export of data

New Retail Store Technology:

• Ability to adapt quickly to work on any special projects/new technologies including co-op store related projects that may require additional learning including new features/reports

· Conduct periodic store surveys, identify areas for improvement and implement strategic solutions

· Open to learning new technologies

Communication

*Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders to keep projects aligned with company goals.

* Ensure that installation and customization of new POS and in-store processing equipment follows the co-op’s standards.

* Work with various POS VAR’s and other stake holders for smooth new store opening or conversions.

* Must be detail oriented and a team player

Problem Solving

* Identifies and troubleshoots POS and other peripheral hardware, software, and data issues as they arise.

* Problem-solving skills to help determine the source of a problem and find an effective solution.

• Ability to Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines via electronic means using Microsoft Tools
• Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders to keep projects aligned with company goals
• Strong competency in Microsoft Tools
• Bi-lingual in Spanish helpful
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Flexible and adaptable to changing needs of team/department

EDUCATION: College Degree in Business or other relevant discipline preferred; plus a minimum of 3-5 years of continuous related experience in retail merchandising managing a high volume product department.
EXPERIANCE: Must have experience in store front-end positions (cashier, supervisor) and must be familiar with back-door receiving and store bookkeeper procedures. Must know store POS systems (Scanmaster, ACS-IR, LOC SMS, ISS-45 and IBM ACE), computer servers, monitors, lop tops, wireless computer access point, hand-held computer terminals, RetalixStore and ABO in store processor systems. Must be able to install/ maintain the in-store processor system.
