Pahl’s Showroom is a division of J.H. Larson, a family owned, independent distributor of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and Datacom products with 7 locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin and South Dakota. In our 92nd year, we are stronger than ever and are making 2023 our best year yet!

We have a great opportunity to join our Watertown, SD team as a Retail Showroom Sales Associate. This position will be responsible for promoting and selling the products and services provided by Pahl’s Designer Showroom. The ideal candidate loves working with people, has good organizational and math skills, is detail oriented, can work independently and in a team environment, and is able to understand the needs of clients.

Responsibilities Include:

• Promoting and maintaining the image and reputation of Pahl’s Showroom, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Assisting with answering phones, scheduling appointments and preparing product quotations.
• Providing kitchen and bath electrical, plumbing and lighting designs for residential applications.
• Participating in the upkeep and merchandising of the displays in the showroom.
• Managing inventory to control product levels.
• Following through on the entire sales process.
• Working professionally in a teamwork driven environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• 2-4 years sales experience – preferably in retail/direct and/or showroom experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Education in plumbing, lighting or home design or equivalent experience.
• Enthusiastic, energetic and personable professional demeanor.
• Strong communication, negotiation and written/verbal skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. (The buddy system is highly utilized!)
