Organize all store operations, including delegating responsibilities to varies departments. Supervise and guide all staff to become the best they can be. Prepare and control the store's budget and P&L. Hold weekly department meetings to insure great communication within the store. Plan and oversee promotions, advertising, sales, and displays. Interview, hire, and train all employees. Monitor stock levels and purchases. Keep up with horse industry styles and trends. Work closely with outside Sales Reps for ordering, promotions, training and specials.

Horse background is important, as this is a large Tack Store. A proven Retail Management background or other managerial experience. Excellent knowledge of retail software and reporting. We are a large family owned business that offers many other services that compliment our retail store. Therefore, knowledge of any of the following areas is helpful; Amazon sells/Website, Embroidery, Engraving, Tack Repair.

The ideal candidate will be working closely with the owner, who is on-site on most days. Some travel is required to industry trade shows though out the year.

The General Manager MUST be out-going, communicative, and fair. A large percentage of your time will be spent coaching, counseling, and guiding employees.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
