Our company started in Honolulu, HI. in 1978. We have continuously operated Russell’s Convenience at Kaimana Beach since 1984. Our retail store at Kaimana Beach is a high volume fast paced food, alcohol, sundry and souvenir shop that caters to both the local neighborhood and tourists alike.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a positive, high energy professional with Ohana Spirit to join our team and propel our store into the future.

Job Description:

• Oversee daily store operations, maximizing sales and profitability.

Responsible for:

• Store profitability.
• Providing exceptional service to our customers.
• Staffing, including recruitment, hiring, scheduling, and training.
• Inventory levels including ordering and stocking to maximize sales.
• Store compliance with all state and federal regulations, especially with tobacco and alcohol regulations.
• Daily paperwork processing including invoices, sales and cash reports and other functions as required. Ensures company security standards with respect to company documents and cash handling are followed.
• Ensuring company standards are met, including store and associate appearance.
• Developing strong vendor relationships.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to read, speak and write in English.
• 3 years Manager experience or 4 years Assistant Management experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Legal documentation establishing your identity to be legally employed in the United States.
• Ability to work a minimum 45 hours per week, ensuring store is staffed during store hours.
• Attend State of Hawaii Health Department and Liquor Commission seminars as required.
• Ability to lift thirty pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
• Basic computer skills and data entry.
• Task oriented, ability to prioritize projects, excellent organizational and critical thinking skills, initiative-taker with the ability to perform all job functions with minimal supervision.
• Strong people skills, ability to work with different customer and employee nationalities.
• Effective communication skills with customers, staff, and corporate office.
• Strong leadership skills, ability to coach and mentor associates. Professional and positive attitude a must.
