Located in the beautiful United States Virgin Islands, a US territory, we have locations on the islands of St. Thomas and St. Croix. Job Responsibilities:
Manages operations of the Pharmacy Department including pharmacy technicians, customer service, and profitability
Maintains compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations as well Company policy and procedures.
Manages Staff Pharmacists to do the same.
Provide patient-centered care, including counseling on prescription and non-prescription pharmaceuticals, and provider or physician collaboration as needed.
Call all customers 3-5 days prior to refill date to ensure compliance verify the
medications are on hand.
Purchase medications and pharmacy supplies daily as needed while adhering to budget.
Proper inventory management is a must.
Provide a personalized customer experience by giving our valued customers the highest level of service available on the islands.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
A POSITIVE ATTITUDE
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Doctoral degree (PharmD) or equivalent in Pharmacy
Current valid license to practice pharmacy in state of employment
Immunization Certification
Multitasking and time management skills coupled with being able to prioritize tasks
Excellent communication (written and verbal) to communicate with patients and other health care professionals
Analytical ability to interpret information and recommend solutions
Qualified to participate in federal health care programs, including but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid.
Perform other duties as directed by the Operations Manager and/or Pharmacy Owner.
Repetitive standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, stretching and reaching are required.
