OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
The Sales and Marketing Coordinator is responsible to build relationships, retain share of market, educate partners, and to acquire new customers in both business, and consumer segments.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Elevate customer interactions by reviewing, recommending, and revising channels, methods, and execution of contacts. This includes renewing support materials to reflect the professionalism of the Delta Dental brand and recommending trends and technology to enhance group relationships like online sales tools and self-serve options.
Monitor the competitive landscape to develop compelling positioning of DDSD’s advantages and value propositions. This may include, creating, and refreshing PowerPoint presentations and other support materials like letters, brochures, reports, and email templates.
Build relationships with members, brokers, and groups to retain existing business and acquire new members. Promote DDSD value and the importance of our mission to improve oral health in South Dakota.
Support the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategy for company initiatives (i.e., new individual & family plans, small business program, etc.).
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate or bachelor’s degree required. Business/sales/marketing discipline preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation, sales and negotiation skills and the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders in an effective and positive manner.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate situations or data, identify options and generate solutions.
Strong leadership and organization skills with the ability to lead programs from concept to customer implementation.
Self-starter with the ability to explore and research market opportunities that ultimately drive the development of sales and marketing programs.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Insurance industry experience is not necessary but considered an asset.
