As a condition of employment, Citizens Medical Center requires all new hires to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless there is an approved exemption. New hires will be required to show proof of vaccination status and have at least one dose of the vaccine prior to starting employment with the second dose scheduled within 30 days of first dose. JOB SUMMARY

Protects life and property of all persons on hospital premises. Patrols hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism and violent acts. Secures, unlocks and protects hospital buildings and property. Responds to security needs of hospital personnel, patients and visitors.

11. Assists with combative patients (EF)

12. Utilizes de-escalation techniques with combative patients and visitors (EF)

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred: Associates Degree or higher in related field

EXPERIENCE

Required: Two years healthcare security or higher equivalent

Preferred: Prior experience in security and/or law enforcement or military

SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Required: Must have effective communication skills and report writing skills

Preferred: Knowledge of computers and video surveillance

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Required: None

Preferred: Private Security Officer License and/or IAHSS Certification
