Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Balance and maintain accurate ledgers.
2. Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
3. Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
4. Maintain and balance the general ledger.
5. Create financial statements and related financial reports (monthly close process).
6. Reconcile accounts.
7. Oversee vendor invoices are paid on a timely basis.
8. Prepare and post bank deposits.
9. Prepare & file sales tax returns and personal property tax statements.
10. Prepare annual 1099’s.
11. Analyze financial information.
12. Provide information to external accountants for audits and tax preparation.
13. Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
14. Backup support for Accounts Payable Clerk.
15. Provide support to Chief Financial Officer as requested.
16. Other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Maintains confidentiality of financial information.
Education: Associates degree in accounting or business administration preferred.
Experience: Five years working in general accounting to include accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and financial statements.

1. Knowledge of medical practices and terminology.
2. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
3. Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security rules.
Skills:
1. Skill in accuracy and attention to detail.

3. Skill in tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions.
4. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
5. Proficiency in computer operation, Microsoft Office, and QuickBooks.

Work Environment: Position is in a well-lit office environment. May require occasional evening or weekend work.
Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately 80 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder with light lifting (10 – 30lbs) occasionally required.
