Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing strategic divisional projects, enterprise liaison and support, and enterprise work force strategy to ensure the continued successful fulfillment of divisional objectives. This work drives the division’s strategic agenda, including developing corporate and business unit strategic plans, communicating strategy and tactics, defining measures for successes, and setting priorities for work efforts. This position also works with other team members and is responsible for managing and executing specific aspects/work streams for a diverse set of strategic projects and evaluating industry trends and their business implications. Works with senior leaders to embed strategic thinking in the organization and develop complex strategies that touch on many parts of business, and communicate information to create alignment and clarity. This position is also responsible for developing and managing analytics and tools to support strategy development.

Responsibilities

  • Identify tools to assess and track strategic opportunities,
  • Provide end to end report development, interfacing between various internal business and technical or analytical teams to achieve goals and desired outcomes.
  • Support a governance structure with leadership for the evaluation of strategic opportunities.
  • Identification of opportunities to respond to divisional needs and opportunities, understanding overall HCSC strategy.
  • Interact both one-on-one and in group settings with team members and others to identify issues, gather data, brainstorm, discuss analytic approach, and share findings.
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of systems, databases and sources to make informed analytical requests, data gathering techniques, and analytical interpretations.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree and 5 years experience in strategic planning, market research, network management, or product development, in health care industry OR consulting OR Master/Professional Degree and 4 years of experience strategic planning, market research, network management, or product development in health care industry OR consulting OR 7 years of experience strategic planning, market research, network management, or product development in health care industry.
  • Project management skills, including strong organization, prioritization and problem solving skills; strong oral, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to accept direction and feedback
  • Experience with business analytics and information synthesis.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning techniques and industry trends
  • Experience managing complex corporate projects in a matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated organization, prioritization, problem solving, communication skills including presentation and group facilitation experience.
  • Experience interacting with staff/management across multiple departments at various levels in the organization;
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Presentation and group facilitation experience.
  • PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, with strong Excel skills.


Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree.
  • Health insurance or healthcare industry experience.
