MDP Engineering is looking for a Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in commercial building design projects, including office, hospitality, and multi-family residential. The position requires strong leadership, communication, technical and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team of engineers. MDP Engineering is located in downtown Denver and offers an exciting work environment. Specific job duties will include:

• Project and departmental management.
• Mentoring, training, and oversight of staff.
• Participation in the planning, development, and preparation of construction documents.
• Client business development and nurturing.
• Interdepartmental collaboration with Mechanical department.
• Supervision of a team of up to 7 employees.
• Conduct field surveys, engineering calculations, and assessments of existing building electrical systems.
• Prepare reports of findings and recommendations, cost estimates, specifications.
• Commercial power-distribution system one-line diagrams, fault-current calculations, protective device series rating and selective coordination, lighting controls, photometric calculations, and lighting/power circuiting design.

Qualified candidates should possess the following:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• PE license required.
• Strong management skills.
• 10+ years of professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of building, energy, and electrical codes.
• Experience with LEED Certified projects.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Visual and REVIT.
• Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The position is full-time, and salary is based on experience. Benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, PTO, 401k program with company contributions, and flexible work hours.
