Senior HR Generalist (hybrid)

SUMMARY: Working within a collaborative team environment, the Senior HR Generalist will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise, while providing core HR generalist services and support, such as introductory employee and manager guidance, performance management, employee relations and HR best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and manage the entire talent acquisition function. Full responsibility for salaried recruiting, analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies, managing headcount reporting and supervising an HR Generalist who oversees all hourly recruiting.
  • Assist the Director of Operations in workforce planning to include attending weekly meetings for accurate staff counts with new hires, turnover and internal employee movement.
  • Be a credible, trusted coach and confidante to all levels within the Fall River facility - comfortable spending time on the manufacturing floor.
  • Work closely with management and employees to build impactful working relationships, team comradery, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Assist when needed with new employee orientation and oversee the onboarding programs which foster employee engagement and introduction to the business.
  • Assist the HR Manager with employee relations issues and resolve conflicts and implement policies.
  • Develops and maintains a collaborative relationship with employees and management while providing counsel of all types including progressive discipline. Offers coaching, skills development, management direction and policy interpretation.
  • Advocate employee communication processes that inform employees as well as to ensure two-way communication between employees and management through 30/60/90 day touch points.
  • Leader of continuous improvement in employee engagement. Creates and leads employee involvement in team building activities and celebrations.
  • Assure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements such as FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and other federal, state, and local regulations that are applicable to the human element of our business.
  • Special projects as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or business-related field is required

· Minimum 5 years relevant Human Resources work experience in medical device or other regulated industry preferred

· Experience with employee relations is a requirement

· Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including knowledge of EEO, ADA and FMLA

· Strong drive for results to lead and facilitate efforts to ensure human resources alignment with the company and/or site

· Experience with HRIS systems, UKG (UltiPro) preferably

· Demonstrated ability to deal directly with line management and hourly workforce to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change

· Strong project management and customer service skills

· Ability to manage priorities

· Ability to lead with empathy

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, results oriented environment
