ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Sheet Metal Fabrication Technician at Mate Precision Technologies, you will guide our customers to select the right sheet metal tooling solutions to successfully product their sheet metal products. You will be the sheet metal expert our customers rely on to achieve success and maximize their productivity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Advise customers on the best punch and/or bend tooling to use to accomplish their goals
• Collaborate with our customers to understand their fabricating applications
• Recommend sheet metal tooling product solutions to ensure our customer success
• Create engineering concept CAD drawings and solid models to demonstrate the solutions
• Prepare formal quotations using our business systems
• Partner with our Sales team to help them win the sale

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Practical experience of sheet metal best practices during machining
• A thorough understanding of Press Brake and/or Turret Machine operation
• Strong spatial aptitude, and skill at visualizing in two and three dimensions
• Competence with the math associated with force, tolerances, and inch/metric conversions
• Strong collaborative mindset
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of sheet metal experience
• Skill in 3D CAD, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar (preferred but not required)
• Competence with email, and MS Word etc.
• Proficiency in oral and written English
• Bonus- fluent in a foreign language (specifically Spanish or French preferred)

WORK HOURS:

Monday-Friday during regular hours of operations

PAY

$30-$36 per hour*

*Additional and advanced skills and abilities related to SolidWorks would warrant for a higher hourly wage than what is posted above
