Social Service Therapist Opportunity

This opportunity is full-time, 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule.

The Meadows Psychiatric Center, is a 119- bed behavioral health treatment facility located in Central Pennsylvania. We are located a short distance outside State College, PA. The Meadows is committed to providing individuals and their families the hope of recovery through an environment conducive to wellness, strength-based programming, and highly competent staff. Our team provides comprehensive services to children, adolescents, adults and older adults. The Meadows currently has Master's Level Clinician position available as a Social Services Therapist.

Typical job responsibilities include:

Assessments, initial treatment plans, updating treatment plans, discharge planning, provision of individual, group and family therapy sessions, manage a patient client case load, participate in treatment teams and other cross functional teams and timely associated documentation and chart paperwork. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills as well as strong time management skills. A commitment to collaboration and quality of service to all customer groups is a must.

The schedule is primarily a Monday - Friday, days position. However all team members will participate in a day weekend rotation which will involve facilitating groups not only for the staffs primary patient unit but for patients on other units as well. All team members must be flexible based on hospital census to work with patients of all ages if necessary.

This Master's Level position working with our Clinical Services team requires:

  • Master's degree in Social Work or similar; licensure preferred.
  • One year of relevant work experience, preferred.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
