Job Description:

GDIT has a position opening for a Senior Solutions Architect/Advisor to provide technical leadership and support in the areas of IT innovation, business process automation and RPA, solution specification/design, and target architecture development. The candidate will have a strong knowledge of information technology, security, and government solutions; and significant experience architecting, developing and implementing technical solutions to improve IT Operations. The preferred candidate will have excellent communications skills, a strong customer service orientation, and a proven track record of delivering successful solutions.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform “as is” and future state “to be” analysis of new business systems, applications, and functions with process flow charts and documentation.
• Develop and maintain a business architecture and service models for all services in service catalog.
• Develop and maintain a unified information systems architecture using existing artifacts and execute a gap analysis to identify missing service areas for incorporation.
• Provide expertise on continuous process improvement strategies, organizational redesign, change management activities, and performance measures for complex business processes.
• Support development of business cases based on high level requirements and business objectives leveraging quantitative cost/benefit analysis methods to demonstrate business value and solution proposal viability to include cost of technical solutions that satisfy the requirements of IT investment requests.
• Assist in the definition of implementation plans by collaborating with project team members including project managers and other stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Work with the customer CIO and GDIT project staff to facilitate IT strategic planning and implementation.
• Respond to technical questions and research requests from the customer CIO and division leads.
• Advise/drive process/application modernization initiatives.
• Providing advice and support for systems development and engineering projects.
• Coordinate “reach back” with technical subject matter experts (SME) within GDIT to obtain specific knowledge or expertise to address technical issues.
• Develop and review technical proposals.
• Prepare deliverable reports and briefings.

Mandatory

• BA/BS and 8 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of information technology, including all layers of the IT stack
• Strong knowledge of commercial products/solutions, especially COTS software application products (e.g., ServiceNow, CRM, ECM, BPM, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies and solutions including RPA and Cloud
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory
• Solution architecture experience
• Successful systems development experience involving process improvement efforts and COTS integration
• Experience developing lifecycle cost estimates for technical solutions
• Business analysis skills
• Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Customer service orientation

Desirable

• MA/MS in Computer Science or Engineering
• ITIL 4 certification
• Understanding of ServiceNow
• Experience architecting and/or leading application modernization initiatives
• Experience leading Cloud migration initiatives
• Understanding of federal enterprise architecture concepts
• Federal IT capital planning knowledge and experience
• Good understanding of the Technology Business Management (TBM) requirements and its application in the federal government.
