This position is for responsible for managing project delivery for mid to large and complex enterprise projects with cross functional project teams that may be comprised of several departments, have high visibility, risk to brand or business, aggressive schedules, require negotiation skills to balance the needs of project stakeholders, and/or work with 3rd party vendors. Projects may be technical in nature and have implications and impacts associated with the T-Mobile enterprise-wide systems/system applications, network, and telecommunication/product devices. Projects may be multi-tiered comprising several smaller projects that span multiple years, larger budget & business impacts. This position will manage work utilizing standard project management methodologies, processes/procedures, e.g., projects have clear start/end dates, specific manpower resource allocations, budgets, and are clearly identified as a "project" by the business.

Position can be located in Frisco, TX; Bellevue, WA; or Overland Park, KS and is not remote.

Position is not IT, Network or Engineering. Position focuses on Marketing, Sales, and Operations sponsored projects that require experience with managing business, supply chain and frontline teams.

IDEAL candidate will have Agile Metholodgy/Development experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for, and drives, project status reporting and meetings as communication and management tools. Effectively uses communications to ensure project health, transparency to risk, and to maintain a strong project team with a sense of respect and trust. Implements project delivery process improvements and serves as a change agent.

  • Identifies potential risks across a broad number of individual projects within a program and establishes communications and mitigations to address them. Communicate risks in clear business terms and technical terms and provides clear messaging and solution options at a senior leadership and executive level in both planned and ad hoc scenarios.

  • Aligns the program strategy with the program business goals. Defines and establishes the overall program structure, utilizing the definition and scope of all sub-projects, program support activities, and organizational structure.

  • Establishes the tools and processes to track and report on the program health and progress towards program goals. Adjusts resources and organizational structure as the focus and goals of the program change to ensure efficient delivery of results.

  • Incorporates strategic factors into program/project scope and recommendations. Influences and recommends factors that create change and scope creep. Leads the implications of change, including legitimate scope shift and impact.

  • Sets stakeholder and program team expectations and ensures that the deliverables are aligned with program goals. Establishes the program KPI measurements and quality control points and aligns reporting to track progress against the measurements. Proactively anticipates and mitigates issues through validation. Support the preparation of Change Requests that need to be submitted to formal change boards.

  • Successfully serve as a bridge between the technical functions and the business clients. Identifies and resolves project impacting issues, works with members of the project management team, Technology, and business SMEs/executives to develop, and implement viable solutions.

  • Upon project completion, close all project documentation and archive actual appropriate records and achievements for future similar projects. Provide recommendations of lessons learned for improvements in process and procedure both within the PM structure as well as across groups.

  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management or combination of equivalent experience and education

Work Experience:

  • 6+ years of formal experience as a program or product manager within a technology environment, with a progressive record of successful delivery of complex solutions, systems, or services. Req

  • Experience working on projects in a wireless industry. Pref

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as Project, Visio, SharePoint Req

  • Microsoft Project Req

  • Strong understanding of PM principles and practices and how to put them into practice Req

  • Experience in multiple system development life cycle methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile

  • Ability to flex roles, functioning as a Business System Analyst when needed, is a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels Req

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Pref

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law. T-Mobile's Commitment

Washington Pay Range : $116,400.00 - $157,500.00

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
