The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing various accounting functions. These may include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory accounting and other duties as assigned. Full time, $20-$26/HR with full benefits Abilities: Must have a solid understanding of accounting. Must be proficient in Excel. Must be able to accurately and effectively process high volumes of work in timely manner. Must be able to meet deadlines. Must be able to multi-task in a busy office environment. Consistently represents the Company in a manner consistent with its values and beliefs. Professional courtesy and good communication skills are a must. Must effectively communicate with all managers/supervisors and related team members. Superior customer service for both internal and external customers. Responsibilities Reconcile various general ledger and/or bank accounts. Accurately maintain inventories Prepare and post journal entries. Accurately processes all company payables to ensure transactions are o real o coded to the correct company and cost center, o input accurately o proper period o discounts taken and o paid timely Performs various clerical and administrative duties as needed Prepares and maintains various excel spreadsheets or inventories as assigned by CFO. Leadership Must exercise proper judgement. Must maintain confidentiality in all matters. Holds people accountable to get accurate and timely information. This includes notifying managers when information is not being provided accurately or timely. Ability to manage their time effectively. When asked to do tasks outside of regular expectations, can effectively determine time required to do task and communicate that with person requesting the task or information. Team members are encouraged to use their resources to determine what may already exist to aid in this process as well as to assist costs vs. benefit to doing the requested task if significant Safety Fully understands team's fire plan and follows company's general safety rules and guidelines. Teamwork Consistently demonstrates the ability to work with others inter-dependently.
