Century Engineering, a Kleinfelder Company, is seeking a Staff Geologist / Hydrogeologist Professional to join our team in Centre Hall, Pennsylvania. This will be a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced professional seeking ongoing development and growth opportunities.

Applicant must be a Pennsylvania licensed professional Geologist with a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the following: groundwater exploration, testing and monitoring for public water supply systems, location and development of new groundwater sources, existing groundwater supply evaluation, analysis and recommendations to rehabilitate existing groundwater systems, monitoring and measurement of surface water source capacity, general consultation on groundwater availability and expectations based on project location and geologic setting. Must have hands-on work experience on public water supply projects located in Pennsylvania.

Field inspections of existing groundwater sources

Pumping tests and video inspections

Preparation of well drilling specifications and contract documents

Well drilling installation management and observation

Coordination and review of materials and water quality laboratory testing

Experience with and the preparation of Pennsylvania Dept. of Environmental Protections reports (pre-drilling plan, sanitary survey, aquifer monitoring plan, wellhead pro

tection, etc.)

Prepare geotechnical reports, or pertinent sections thereof

Provide a variety of other observation and testing services for geotechnical and environmental development projects

Surface water and groundwater sampling

Fracture trace analysis

Hydrogeologic studies for water supply development

Aquifer data analysis

Frequently travel to various work sites

*Substantial time working in the field on the job sites will be required. Century will provide the needed safety equipment.*

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology/Hydrology, Groundwater Hydrology, or related field of study

Own Transportation and valid driver's license with demonstrated safe driving practices

Willing and able to work the hours necessary to meet the demands of the workload or to complete assigned projects

Familiarity with well drilling equipment and installation procedures

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
