Description

Operate, troubleshoot, and modernize NetApp centric hardware and software to include client, server, and network integration components
Understanding of NetApp best practice solutions in a production environment with enterprise security requirements in mind.
Will interact with system/network administrators, enterprise security, and senior government personnel
Expert level configurations for FAS based NetApp controllers including but not limited to FAS8040, FAS8020, FAS2552
Expert knowledge of Clustered Data ONTAP 9.1 and higher to include non-disruptive software upgrades
Expert knowledge troubleshooting performance and storage access problems with client servers and workstations.
Expert knowledge with SAN and NAS protocols (CIFS, NFS, ISCSI)
Expert knowledge with capacity management to include raid group provisioning, aggregate maintenance, volume creation and maintenance, LUN usage
Creates and maintains CIFS shares in a Windows domain environment
Creates and maintains NFS volumes with NFS exports for Linux based servers
Manages Snapshot schedules to meet customer requirements
Restores data from volume snapshots as required (CIFS data, NFS volumes, LUNs)
Integrates NFS volumes with VMware administrators for datastore creation and use
Expert knowledge with NetApp Snapshot and Snapmirror/SnapVault technology
Expert familiarity with NetApp SnapManager and SnapDrive applications to include SnapManager for Exchange/SQL/Oracle/SMBR and NetApp Virtual Storage Console to include installation and updates
Expert knowledge with the storage provisioning life cycle; creation, client access, support/troubleshooting, active management, decommission
Familiarity with creation and maintenance of cluster peers in support of off-site replication for Snapmirror and SnapVault
Daily capacity and spare/broken disk management
Creates and manages NetApp Logical Interfaces (LIFs), ports, failover groups, management links, broadcast domains, and VLANs
Creates and manages Storage Virtual Machines
Expands disk shelving as required
Primary POC for hardware replacement to include spare drive requests and hardware failures/replacement
Familiarity with management of cluster switches (CN1610)
Briefs government leadership with refresh strategies and timelines
Interfaces with vendors for system upgrade/replacement quotes
Required Skills:

ACTIVE TOP SECRET with SCI ELIGIBILITY
DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification: Security +CE, CCNA Security, CySA++, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering related discipline; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
NetApp NCDA CDOT (documented experience may be accepted)
5+ years working with NetApp Data ONTAP software
10+ years supporting an enterprise environment with NetApp primary storage systems

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $105,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
