For over 20 years, we've been the resource for pet parents who want to know how to feed and take care of their furry family. We've always been geeky about pet food. We love to help animals by helping their humans provide everything they need to live their healthiest and happiest lives. All of our foods and treats are hand-picked, and many brands don’t make the cut. No artificial dyes, flavors or preservatives and no by-products. Our brands use human grade named protein sources like chicken, beef, venison, lamb, pork, and fish. We recommend raw food for most pets because it’s the most whole, the least processed, and most nutritionally dense and absorbable - but you’ll also find the best selection of gently-cooked, freeze-dried raw, wet, dehydrated and dry pet foods available to match every budget and dietary need.

Who You Are:

• 2-5 yrs retail sales experience including some management experience
• Strong computer proficiency
• Detail-oriented and excellent communication skills
• Ability to maintain focus and organization while balancing shifting priorities
• Professional and effective communication skills in connecting with all levels of the organization as well as the general public
• Flexible schedule with full-time availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on need
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, and to confidently climb ladders to retrieve boxes on upper shelves
• In-depth experience living with dogs & cats
• Familiarity, experience with or enthusiasm for natural foods or holistic health

What You’ll Do:

Team Management

• Supervise and lead sales team: schedule, train and develop all team members to excel, providing feedback, mentoring, and assessment
• Demonstrate exceptional sales leadership and service through active engagement with customers and team on the sales floor
• Monthly trainings to grow your team’s knowledge and proficiency
• Help foster a supportive environment and rewarding work culture that inspires growth and high performance

Customer Experience

• Enhance pets’ health and happiness by connecting pet parents with products that support their pets’ best lives
• Ensure brand integrity by maintaining a clean, orderly and pleasing space for customers and team members, and maintaining visual displays and presentation consistent with the company standards
• grow relationships in the community to build on our reach and brand awareness

Operations

• Professional execution of all cash handling policies including opening and closing procedures; daily paperwork; and bank deposits
• Weekly and monthly meetings and data-driven reporting

Inventory Management

• Manage and process receipts of incoming inventory, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain sufficient quantities and assortment of stock products through floor replenishment to support demand and inventory turn goals
• Supervise and maintain accurate up to date inventory levels
