OVERVIEW
Fragrance.com is seeking a System Administrator to provide server, network, and related technology support and serve as an escalation point for escalated desktop support issues. Daily tasks include installing, configuring, upgrading, maintaining and troubleshooting server and network related technology. Requiring knowledge and experience in the System Administration field, the candidate must be able to independently research and resolve issues and work with the rest of the IT team. The position reports to the IT Infrastructure Services manager and has no direct reports.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Installing, configuring, upgrading, and repairing physical and virtual servers. (Must be able to lift 50 lbs, crawl under desks, climb a safety ladder, and rack or unrack servers when necessary.)
  • Manage firewalls, network switches, wireless access points, VPNs.
  • Proactively monitor server, network, and workstation health and identify causes of potential failure and remediate.
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot VOIP telephones.
  • Perform server and desktop patching, security and software updates via automation.
  • Troubleshooting and provide support for escalated general computer and software issues.
  • Installing, managing and configuration of Windows Operating Systems, proprietary software, and third party / office applications.
  • Perform project work and other tasks as assigned.
  • Serve as backup / escalation point for Desktop Support.
  • Participate in On-Call rotation as well as extended schedule during the holiday season.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS (Proficiency Required)
  • Server 2016, 2019. Server 2021 a plus.
  • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.
  • Networking (Standard troubleshooting, working with VLANs. Trunking and Performance Tuning a plus.)
  • Firewall administration. (Setup, Administering, IDS/IPS, VPNs, Web Policy Enforcement)
  • Antivirus (MS Defender a plus.)
  • On prem and cloud backups (Veeam a plus.)
  • Experience configuring, administering, and troubleshooting Wireless Access Points.
  • Microsoft 365 (Office 365) administration.
  • VMware ESX / VCenter administration, DELL EMC VXRail a plus.
  • WSUS or other patching automation.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • AWS, SAN, Switch Fabric, PC imaging a plus.
