POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installing, configuring, upgrading, and repairing physical and virtual servers. (Must be able to lift 50 lbs, crawl under desks, climb a safety ladder, and rack or unrack servers when necessary.)
- Manage firewalls, network switches, wireless access points, VPNs.
- Proactively monitor server, network, and workstation health and identify causes of potential failure and remediate.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot VOIP telephones.
- Perform server and desktop patching, security and software updates via automation.
- Troubleshooting and provide support for escalated general computer and software issues.
- Installing, managing and configuration of Windows Operating Systems, proprietary software, and third party / office applications.
- Perform project work and other tasks as assigned.
- Serve as backup / escalation point for Desktop Support.
- Participate in On-Call rotation as well as extended schedule during the holiday season.
- Server 2016, 2019. Server 2021 a plus.
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.
- Networking (Standard troubleshooting, working with VLANs. Trunking and Performance Tuning a plus.)
- Firewall administration. (Setup, Administering, IDS/IPS, VPNs, Web Policy Enforcement)
- Antivirus (MS Defender a plus.)
- On prem and cloud backups (Veeam a plus.)
- Experience configuring, administering, and troubleshooting Wireless Access Points.
- Microsoft 365 (Office 365) administration.
- VMware ESX / VCenter administration, DELL EMC VXRail a plus.
- WSUS or other patching automation.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- AWS, SAN, Switch Fabric, PC imaging a plus.
