Summary:

We are seeking an individual who is proactive, flexible, creative and highly accountable. The Systems Administrator is a versatile role that provides technical support for managing and troubleshooting network, system, and application components. This position requires practical hands on knowledge, and a thorough understanding of network and system administration, along with application and user management. This person must have, or develop, an understanding of underlying business fundamentals, and strive to achieve objectives supporting Hampton’s business requirements. This position will report to the Director of IT and will be based out of our Meridian, Idaho office.

Detailed responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Must be focused on quality customer service for both internal and external customers.

· Must be able to work well independently and in a team-based structure as well as in situations of limited supervision.

· Proficient in backup technologies and methodology with preference to Veeam. Experience with creating and supporting a Disaster Recovery Cloud based solution.

· Proficient in Microsoft Server hardware and software including virtualization with preference to VMWare.

· Proficient within AD structures and AD accounts.

· Proficient in MS Exchange administration and configuration both on-prem and in the cloud.

· Proven ability to integrate disparate solutions.

· Understands Cloud architecture with preference to Azure

· Assist as needed with troubleshooting production network devices, including but not limited to desktops, printers, WIFI access points, servers, switches, routers, and video cameras.

· Assist as needed with patch management for all production related devices and applications.

· Assist in the development and implementation of standardized IT practices and procedures.

· Collaborate with other support teams to provide quality of service to both internal and external partners.

· Collaborate with 3rd party vendors to develop support/upgrade procedures for network devices.

· Documentation in the form of technical documents, designs documentation, performance reporting as well as operational procedures.

· Participate in 24x7 system support rotation and handle escalations.

· Requires travel between sites; must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

· Ability to be flexible in evaluating priority tasks and multi task to maintain a high level of control over area of responsibility.

· Strong collaboration skills, working directly with non-technical stakeholders on discussing requirements, needs, tasks, and support management.

· Solid understanding and direct hands on experience with Microsoft Server/Windows operating systems is required.

· Fundamental understanding of operating systems programs, maintenance, systems administration, enterprise application, and network systems.

· Experience with PowerShell scripting is strongly desired.

· Experience with VMWare virtual environments is strongly desired.

· Experience with Nutanix hardware systems is strongly desired.

· SAN with iSCSI and Fiber Channel understanding. Bonus for HPE Nimble or Pure Storage specific knowledge.

· Functional knowledge of Linux server systems. Specific Ubuntu Server knowledge a plus.

· Understanding of containerization and container orchestration systems.

· Comfortable with Git based version control. Specific GitLab knowledge a plus.

· A basic understanding of Database Management Systems. Microsoft SQL Server experience a plus.

· Proven ability to work as a team and assimilate to different roles.

· Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.

· Knowledge of lumber industry preferred, but not required

· Mid-level skills or greater working with Microsoft desktop product suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

· Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills, high degree of accuracy and efficiency

· Maintain high personal and professional standards of focus, attention, and dedication to work

· Continue education for professional improvement

Education & Training Required:

· Bachelor’s degree in Technical discipline OR 4 years of equivalent work experience.

· Current MCSE, MCSA or equivalent certification OR equivalent experience.

· Minimum 6 years’ experience in a technical support environment.
