Exempt position (not overtime eligible) with a standard expectation of 45 hours per week. Core hours would be daytime hours, but some on-call availability/flexibility will be needed for after-hour issues.

Job Overview

The IT systems administrator is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and security of the company intranets and computer systems. Duties include assigning and maintaining user access, installing, and maintaining software, responding to employee concerns relating to IT, troubleshooting IT issues, and writing policy documents and training materials for employees. Manages servers, network equipment, and other related IT infrastructure. Coordinates with company leadership to determine new technologies and enhancements for company’s systems.

Responsibilities

1. Handles the setup and maintenance of user access for all employees.

2. Performs setup and application configuration functions on new computer/laptops.

3. Performs technology asset tracking

4. Administers and maintains company phone system.

5. Implements and manages user and network security.

6. Ensures security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.

7. Researches, recommends, and purchases new hardware and software.

8. Evaluates existing software applications & performs routine updates/modifications.

9. Installs and maintains new software and hardware ensuring licensing laws are followed.

10. Manages and maintains file server’s software and hardware.

11. Writes documents for user-training and support.

12. Manages secure network access for remote users.

13. Audits network security and compliance requirements.

14. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors Degree in IT/Computer Networking, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of applicable IT related experience of is preferred
• Licenses/Certificates: Not Required
