Our client, non-Big 4 public accounting firms, are looking for Tax Manager & Senior Tax Managers to join their CPA firm.

Some responsibilities include:

• Responsible for developing tax minimization strategies.
• Focus on executing diligent client service and becoming orientated to the firm's practices, policies, and culture.
• Create positive impression with client by exhibiting professional competence and ability.
• Design new strategies for savings and continuously re-evaluate plans as changes occur
• Building and maintaining client relationships, creation of tax strategies and tax planning ideas
• Key assistant to the directors/Principals. Enables directors/Principals to serve a larger number of clients without lessening their response or effectiveness, including the detail review of directors/Principal’s engagements.
• Train, supervise and review the work of other tax staff
• Identify issues and potential opportunities for additional business to build up the consulting practice
• Complete performance evaluations constructively and timely, and provide ongoing performance feedback to employees
• Maintain required annual CPEs

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in public accounting
• CPA preferred
• JD, MBA, MS Taxation is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, research, analytical and writing skills.
• Possess a broad tax knowledge.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Can establish a rapport and good communication with clientele.
• Ability to review and provide feedback on tax work prepared by all staff in a professional manner.
• Manages their own clients and starts a book of business.
• Manages supervisors and senior level accountants.
• Can adhere to given budgets and time deadlines.
• Be able to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Can gather, organize, and summarize information efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to train, orient, and mentor staff.
• use of software (Profx Tax and Engagement, Excel, XCM, iChannel, BNA etc.).
• Looking for Managers that are generalists or have specialization in construction, real estate, government, estate, trust and wills, S-corps and pass-through entities.

(Tax Manager is required to have CPA or JD or EA)
