About This Opportunity

Gatekeeper Systems USA Inc. is experiencing substantial growth and we are looking to expand our family. Gatekeeper’s Corporate office is located in Bristol, PA. We are looking for a Technical Support and Mobile Installation Technician that can work remotely, on-site at customer locations and lives in or close to the Bristol, PA area. The ideal candidate will be someone who is very disciplined, is a self-starter and has superb self-management skills as they will be working independently in this position as part of the customer care and technical support team. The role involves doing installations, configuring and testing mobile video recorders, cameras, wireless and Wi-Fi equipment on vehicles. It is a permanent full-time position but the candidate should be flexible regarding a schedule as hours could fluctuate between days and evenings and may also involve work on weekends. The candidate must be eligible to work in the US and have a valid passport with the ability to travel. You will be performing on-site work using company supplied service vehicles for surrounding state installations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Installation of mobile video recorders, cameras and wireless equipment on vehicles
  • Configure and test mobile video recorders, wireless and Wi-Fi equipment
  • Ability to install Wi-Fi Access Points in elevated locations and mast equipment at customer locations
  • Ability to troubleshoot vehicle wiring
  • Run and test networking cable
  • Training customers on products and software locally and remotely.
  • Produce timely project installation workbook completion related to each customer installation
  • Produce timely and detailed service and installation reports utilizing electronic work orders and obtaining customer sign-off
  • Respond to customer service inquiries via email or phone
  • Investigate and troubleshoot customer issues relative to software and video products
  • Identify and report actual or potential product deficiencies in software or hardware
  • Interact with internal engineering and sales groups for customer escalations
  • Assist system engineers in the diagnosis and replication of any product related issues
  • Identify and promote any customer sales opportunities to the appropriate sales team
  • Follow all Gatekeeper Systems USA Inc. policies, procedures and protocols
  • Reports to National Customer Care Manager

S*kills & Qualifications*

  • Degree or a Diploma in electronics, networking or a computer-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years of experience providing technical support
  • Three to fours years of experience in low voltage 12V DC vehicle systems
  • Must be proficient with standard Microsoft Office tools; Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
  • Proven ability to deliver on commitments.
  • Must be able to explain complex ideas to a broad range of business stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Must be able to summarize detailed information clearly and concisely.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have three years of driving experience to be covered under the company’s vehicle insurance policy
  • Must be mechanically minded and capable of performing installation activities for product in vehicles and Wi-Fi equipment on customer sites
  • Must be clear and well-spoken while troubleshooting customer service calls with the ability to remain calm in the face of customer frustrations.
  • High-level ability to test, analyze, troubleshoot, service and repair equipment
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills for technical evaluation of customer issues.
  • Superb customer service skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Hands on and able to “roll up your sleeves” and “get dirty”
  • Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Adaptable to changing priorities
  • Criminal background screening required

Desirable Assets or Training opportunities

Installing and configuring the following:

  • Microsoft Windows 7 through 10
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 through 2012
  • Experience in networking including Firewalls, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, and UDP
  • Experience with Wi-Fi Access Points, M2M Cellular modems, and Routers
  • A support role in customer service with products, systems or networking equipment
  • Previous experience in supporting video recording systems (DVR’s and cameras)

What We Offer

  • Compensation of $42,000 to $52,000 per annum (based on a 40-hour work week)
