JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Director of Information Systems or designee, this position’s function is to provide operational support to serve as a resource expert for a) server and server based functions including but not limited to operating systems, security and directory services -OR- b) storage infrastructure and management including but not limited to storage area networks (SAN), NAS and mid-tier to enterprise class storage arrays -OR- c) enterprise backup and recovery functions including but not limited to Storage Management, tape archival hardware and software, disaster recovery implementation.

RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES

• 50% Installs, configures, maintains, monitors and troubleshoots system level server software
• 50% divided among these duties as needed
  • Establishes and implements LAN policies, procedures and standards and ensures their conformance with information services and the organization's objectives
  • Provides technical support, training and consultation to other departments in the Information Systems as well as the entire organization
  • Maintains system security at the operating system level
  • Assists in developing and maintaining a disaster recovery plan for system software
  • Develops awareness in state-of-the-art hardware and software technologies
  • Provides on-call support for server level problems
  • Performs routine administrative tasks i.e, status reports.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications

High School or GED

INFORMATION SECURITY

Maintains confidentiality of log-on password(s) and security of other authentication devices (e.g., key fobs, proximity devices, etc.). Ensures privacy and security of information entrusted to their care. Uses company business assets and information resources for management-approved purposes only. Adheres to all information privacy and security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines. Promptly reports information security incidents to the OhioHealth Information Security Officer.
