JOB TITLE:
Temporary/Part-Time Human Resources Assistant

REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The part-time Human Resources Assistant is responsible for assisting the Human Resources Team. Purge HR Data room files. Prepare files for scanning and uploading to cloud storage. Organize HR share drive, and update employee profiles in HRIS systems. Provide administrative support to the human resources team as needed, including record keeping, file and drive maintenance, and payroll assistance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION (including but not limited to):

  • Organize and purge old HR files.
  • Sort, Scan and Organize HR Data Room.
  • Organize HR Share Drive Data and Cloud storage.
  • Payroll tasks in HRIS for deductions, benefits, time and attendance.
  • Purging and organizing files in HRIS.
  • Support the HR Team with recruitment, retention activities.
  • Administrative duties such as creating and editing documents, reports, faxing, filing, scanning, emails.
  • Maintain employee and HR information confidential.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem solve independently.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Discretion and sensitivity due to the highly confidential nature of work assignments.
  • Knowledge of general human resources functions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, Google Drive, SharePoint software.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources required.
  • At least two years of related experience required.
  • At least one year of HRIS experience required.
  • Must be able to work with all levels of agency staff and its committees, as appropriate.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge of Paylocity and/or Paycom preferred.
