We're looking for an experienced professional to assist in coordinating activities related to organizational safety, compliance and implementation of safety improvement initiatives. The successful candidate must have safety-related experience in the school bus industry.

This is a negotiable salaried position offering competitive starting pay.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in driver hiring and compliance
• Provide direction and guidance to location trainers
• Conform with DOT and company regulations
• Investigate accidents, incidents, work-related injuries and determine fault/probability
• Prepare, submit, maintain and enter into the system accident-related forms/compliance reports in a timely fashion
• Provide assistance and training to drivers and attendants on passenger management and other safety related issues
• Perform driver road checks and assess driver for continuous process improvement
• Communicate accurate and timely information to internal and external customers
• Conduct research and analysis on current and future safety trends
• Perform any other management requests or directives related to achievement of Safeway quality objectives

Minimum requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years transportation or safety-related experience
• CDL B, SB permit and endorsements or willingness to complete within 30 days
• Competence with MS-Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding safety and environmental issues
• Customer service experience
