Job Description

The Treasury- Market Risk- Lead Associate is a seasoned professional role that supports Fannie Mae’s mission through proactive involvement in risk management across the company’s Balance Sheet activities. The role can help shape various strategic initiatives, as well as responses to market events and regulatory updates.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Treasury - Risk Analysis - Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Lead the measurement and reporting processes for various Balance Sheet Risks (focus on Market Risk, with exposure to Liquidity Risk Funds Transfer Pricing)
  • Perform complex analysis to identify emerging risks and explain changes in existing measurements stemming from financial markets, balance sheet activities, and model updates
  • Research, identify, recommend and / or implement process improvements to streamline and enhance processes / methodologies
  • Coordinate effort among various internal stakeholders on ongoing and new regulatory initiatives
  • Build advanced data analytics to support strategic decision making
  • Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits

Qualifications

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 4 years

Desired Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Advanced Degree, and / or CFA
  • Prior experience in Capital Markets, particularly in fixed income and derivatives
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships all functions – Treasury, Financial Reporting, LOBs (Lines of Business), Forecasting, Modeling & Analytics
  • Good analytical skills to filter, prioritize, and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources
  • Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within the Capital Markets space. Develops understanding of how various functions collaborate and contributes to the objectives of the overall group
  • Self-starter with a flexible attitude and a desire to show continued progress
