Job Description :

Engage is a software development company headquartered in St. Louis, MO. We’re looking for a Designer who will be responsible for driving the creation of visual presentation and user experience for a variety of software. This position is responsible for solving problems through proficiency in user research, visual design, and interaction design on a daily basis.

As a User Experience Designer, you will work in an agile environment with developers to define, iterate, and deliver new solutions for our clients. You’ll work closely with the team to translate user stories and visual concepts into code; iterating based on feedback to deliver the best possible user experience.

  • Passionate about UI/UX design
  • Familiar with best practices for: mobile first responsive web design, human centered design - people over users, ADA compliance, content relationships & organization, information architecture, user story and persona creation
  • Design from scratch, with context, purpose, and IA in mind
  • Work with performance and consistency in mind
  • Fluent with HTML and CSS
  • Self-managed, autonomous
  • Good communicator
  • Drive the conversation & design
  • See it through start to finish

Responsibilities

Work with business/client/teams through all phases:

  • discovery
  • wireframe
  • visual design
  • interaction design

Conduct meetings in an agile, in a fast-feedback loop to:

  • present work
  • gather feedback
  • implement changes
  • educate on best practices

Required Experience & Skills

  • 4+ years of UI/UX web design experience
  • Fluent w/ one or more of the following: Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, XD, Figma, Sketch or similar experience
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dive in with minimal direction/management
  • Detailed-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize
  • HTML
  • CSS

Bonus Skills

  • Graphic Design
  • Copywriting
  • Digital Marketing
  • Experience with agile project methodology
