POSITION OVERVIEW: The VP Agricultural Lending will build and manage a portfolio of agricultural real estate loans within the state through existing relationships and by hiring a team of agricultural Account Executives. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years originating and managing agricultural real estate loans in the state in a management role.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Credit Analysis: Provide accurate financial analysis for complex client farm relationships.
• Client Relationships: Must have existing relationships with farmers and agricultural producers in the local market area.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture or related field;
• 5+ years related credit, accounting or other related work experience in a lending environment
• Strong knowledge of the agricultural industry and practices
• Knowledge of credit analysis, collections, client relations and satisfaction, and credit policies
• Knowledge of farm business management, finance and macroeconomics
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, organization, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Solid computer skills including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) and ability to use various business/financial applications
