Position Overview

Warehouse Manager for growing heavy civil construction company needed immediately. Knowledge and experience with heavy equipment maintenance and operations necessary. Ideal candidate will be experienced in setting up the parts inventory layout to ensure efficient space utilization. Will initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for running an efficient parts department. The Warehouse Manager will accomplish objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, and staff utilization.

What are my day-to-day responsibilities:

• Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
• Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments.
• Work with the Shop Foreman to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for Warranty.
• Establish and maintain purchasing policies including purchase orders, inventory guide figures, etc.
• Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the parts department.
• Establish and maintain programs designed to train, develop and motivate department employees.
• Provide technical parts assistance to mechanics.
• Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence.

What are the requirements for this job?

• Minimum of two years’ experience as a part’s manager, inventory manager, or warehouse manager.
• Experience with heavy equipment maintenance required.
• Five years of experience in a parts department.
• Excellent communication and managerial skills.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record
• Salary range $65k-$100k, DOE.
