OVERVIEW

As a member of a high-performing team, we are seeking a WebSphere Cloud Portal Administrator to support cloud services, and unified communication services to a government agency.

The WebSphere Cloud Portal Administrator should have knowledge and understanding of online systems with the ability to communicate effectively to understand problems and explain solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES:

• Provide Portal Development, Testing and Deployment Services
• Renew and install certificates
• Produce documentation for all applications, components, services, and processes, both existing and new
• Provide guidance and strategic direction on planning and implementation, including software upgrades that may need migration to the cloud
• Provide automated synchronization by using web server with multiple instances installed on virtual machines utilizing template driven updates
• Install/configure/tune application servers, WebSphere and WebLogic
• Provide application support
• Install new releases
• Automation
• Alteon front end load balancer updates
• Webserver updates
• Provide health checks to capture selinux violations, WebSphere errors, filesystem and swap space running out, application automated failover, application status changes and data streaming out of sync
• High availability and disaster recovery design and architecture

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Five (5) years of specific job-related experience or eight (8) years of general related experience
• Ability to work alternate hours when needed and independently
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good listening and communication skills
• Comprehensive understanding of networks, video teleconferencing, and cloud migrations
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of online systems
• Ability to learn quickly, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, or engineering
• Seven (7) years of increasing and progressive experience in cloud portal engineering and design.
• Master's Degree in an appropriate discipline may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
• WebSphere certification
• A minimum of one-year experience with ServiceNow software
• A minimum of two years of Customer Service experience
• A professional attitude and excellent customer service skills
