SUMMARY
Kaeppel Consulting is in search of a Workday SIS Business Analyst for a client in the San Antonio, TX. area. This will be a permanent position and salary will depend upon experience. This role will serve as a functional business systems/data analyst to help simplify, scale and deliver value from our Colleague student information system to Workday SIS. Working as a member of the Registrar Team, partners closely with the Registrar’s Office, Academic Advising, IT and other key stakeholders on campus. As a Systems Analyst, serves as the domain professional for all SIS business processes, including advising key stakeholders on use of the Workday student information system. Works on process design and flows, improves processes and demonstrates the return on technological capabilities.

JOB DUTY
Serves as the functional business systems/data analyst and domain expert to help simplify, scale and deliver value from the current Colleague SIS system to Workday SIS.
Collaborates with campus partners to identify, recommend and implement system improvements and enhancements, including reporting, dashboards, integrations and configuration changes that will enable Workday to support the client company's strategic and operational priorities.
Partners closely with the Registrar, IT and other key stakeholders to drive requirements gathering, process review, solution design, project management, testing, training and documentation.
Develops a strong understanding of key operational processes and workflows including the key business drivers behind those processes.
Provides production support on issues triage, identification and resolution, bulk data uploads (EIBs), maintain security role assignment, and new report requests.
Evaluates existing technology and new requests, evaluates them against our shared roadmap and makes recommendations about scope, timing and solution scalability.
Supports upgrades, enhancements, testing, validation and overall system performance; leads Workday product update process, including interface with external testing provider, conducts regression testing and develops contingency planning for larger project efforts.
Generates and maintains a variety of reports, queries and dashboards using appropriate Workday tools.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
EDUCATION
Required:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Preferred:
Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
EXPERIENCE
Required:
Three years of relevant experience with at least one full deployment project.
Hands-on configuration experience in at least two or more Workday domains: Student Records, Advising, Financial Aid, Admissions
Strong process analysis experience in business system processes.
Experience in analyzing operational needs and anticipating ways in which SIS technology or processes can offer improvements or transformation opportunities.
Experience teaching and supporting other members on the team, sharing knowledge freely and building up the team.
Preferred:
Experience deploying and supporting SIS Workday implementation.
Experience in higher education environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required:
A superb collaborator and communicator, who can effectively translate business needs into technical and process solutions.
Proven ability to manage software initiatives of varying sizes and complexity and work closely with business and end users.
Knowledge of Registrar/Academic Records or related business processes.
Must be detail oriented with high degree of accuracy and can thrive in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and prioritizing is necessary.
Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and time constraints.
Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills.
Ability to apply systems knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze new issues. Exceptional customer service skills.
Preferred: Knowledge of Registrar/Academic Records processes in higher education
