Job Description :

Splash into success as part of our amazing Aquatics team this summer! This position provides superior guest safety at a variety of water attractions.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
  • Receive and maintain an Ellis & Associates NPWLTP Special Facilities Lifeguard certification.
  • Maintain a clean safe work environment.
  • Adhere to bio-hazardous waste disposal procedures, and perform all related duties in compliance with fecal matter exposure policy.
  • Remain at a test ready competency of skills at all times.
  • Attend a weekly-scheduled in-service training sessions.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by park management.
  • Comply with all SFA policies and procedures.
  • Willfully perform duties in any department at SFA when necessary.
  • Adhere to park attendance policy as stated in Team Member Handbook.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements


  • Must be at least 15 years of age.
  • Must be able to swim at least 200 meters nonstop freestyle or breaststroke
  • Must be able to retrieve a 10lb brick from a water depth of 8ft.
  • Physical mobility- the ability to move in different work stations, hand and arm movement.
  • Must have corrected 20/20 vision with near and far acuity.
  • Previous lifeguard experience is preferred.
  • Will be required to work various shifts as park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to forty pounds occasionally.


Reports Directly to the Aquatics Head Guards.
