CJ is supercharging our influencer marketing efforts for our CJ Influence team by announcing our newly acquired Influencer network, Perlu, an integrated solution that combines leading performance marketing technology with the fastest, most effective means to find and engage with trusted, active influencers in every category. This unique platform provides influencers and creators with a community and tools to help grow their personal brands and engage with brands seeking influencer partners for campaigns while providing advanced level insight and analytics.

In addition, combined with CJ and Publicis Groupe’s platforms, growth-driving engines, and offerings, brands will have an even more robust connection between affiliate and influencer marketing efforts driving more accountable sales and deriving better insights into the full customer journey.


Due to our exciting acquisition of Perlu, we are proud to present this newly created position of Business Development Manager, Influencer Marketing.


Job Description


What will you be doing:

  • Grow our business by developing and executing an aggressive client acquisition sales strategy focused on influencer marketing services and solutions that are consistently evolving due clients ever changing needs
  • Identify, develop and close new business opportunities in new markets
  • Partner with account and strategy teams to help clients solve problems and leverage research and data to inspire and grow
  • Quarterback development of proposals and pitches from the client/prospect perspective to ensure relevance, impact, value and compelling business cases.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients by upselling, renewing, and expanding and grow accounts
  • Identify and develop opportunities to expand our services and solutions among sister agencies and new regions globally
  • Understand our competitors’ services and selling techniques and be able to effectively compete and sell against them
  • Identify client decision makers and build strong relationships that provide opportunities for our services and solutions (is this is the right spot? Or is it needed)
  • Stay up to date with social media marketing, influencer marketing, and performance marketing, and develop relevant POVs that engage clients and enhance our competitiveness
  • Work well in a self-directed environment, adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing dynamic environment and a willingness to be an active participant within a team


What we look for:


  • 10+ years’ media / social media / PR / marketing agency sales and business development experience
  • Food/Beverage, Wine/Spirits, CPG and/or pharma category experience preferred
  • Track record of success pitching and developing new business with premiere brands
  • Knowledge and passion for the influencer/creator marketing ecosystem on all social channels
  • Strong verbal and written skills and dynamic presentation style in combination with a strong consultative and professional business acumen

Compensation Range: $70,000 - $110,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
