Machining & Automation Process:

The Machining & Automation Business Process Owner, is a member of the Service Technology Centre (STC) Global Innovation Team. The role provides business process governance to ensure the STC machining & automation Processes are owned, defined, documented, followed and improved to ensure that they add value to the business and the customer.

Business Process Owner:

The Business Process Owner owns the process and is accountable for applying good process management to ensure effficient, effective and transparent ways of working. The role involves the matrix management of a network of local process champions ensuring focus on the alignment and support of global/STC goals, objectives and strategy.

  • Identify and execute process strategy to support long term customer and business goals and objectives
  • Identify key business processes for the organisation and driving them to higher higher levels of performance
  • Ensuring all business processes are appropriately managed and standardised using BPM principles
  • Engaging people around process adherence and improvement

Main Responsibilities

Machining & Automation:

  • Technical authority for VSS machining and Automation plans for NPI, current & legacy products managed by STC organsiation
  • Optimisation of machining and automation accuracy across STC using gauge engineering techniques to determine effectiveness of processes
  • Collaboration with product companies, application teams, quality teams, ... using data/facts to review/change manufacturing plans to optimise business and customer perfromance
  • Transform the machining and automation processes into knowledge based approach through digitilisation, Industry 4.0 and colabration with teams across the VTBA to share and gain knowledge
  • Build in ″Quality Right from Me“ process & behaviours throughout the end-end STC processes
  • Lead change projects focussed on improving the processes effectiveness using engineering pricplies within STC organsiation
  • Drive process improves to remove Non-Value Added (NVA) activities with the use of automation.

Business Process Owner:

The following responsibilities will be achieved through using a range of influencing styles encompassing the effective utilisation of coaching, facilitation, teaching and demonstration:

  • Determine and gain support for strategic direction of process and leads the delivery of strategy
  • Document the process including supporting documents through (i) ensuring relevant SOPs are issued (ii) ensuring process adherence
  • Apply standard BPM process governance for the process (i) establish the process network for the process (ii) accountable for communication, roll out and training of process (iii) accountable for continuous improvements through the agreed process network (iv) own process KPIs and reporting
  • Perform process maturity assessment ensuring maturity is able to statisfy business and customer needs

Skills / Knowledge / Experience

Machining & Automation:

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in engineering/technical descipline
  • Minimum 5 years‘ experience within a engineering/technical envionment
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Service-, Production- and/or Project management undertaking operational support, improvements, product and process introduction projects
  • Analyitical, methodical, complete/finsher and benefits focussed

Business Process Owner:

  • Proficient in English (written and speaking)
  • Indirect management/influence of key stakeholders/networks from process to VP level
  • Experience of operating in a multi-cultural team within a global environment
  • Knowledge/Experience of quality management systems and business process management
  • Direction setting, process centric, clear thinking, innovative, methodical, self-motivating, communicative. Influence through adaptable leadership, motivation and role modelling

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, orientation in modern IT structures and processes. SAP, MS Project highly desirable

Scope of the job:

  • STC focused
  • Cross-functional CAPEX and business process change projects and programs in all global regions
  • Lead R&D funding schemes through government and local insentives
  • Lead, manage and support team, STC’s and central functions directly in activities
  • The job holder will be required to drive progress in a matrix organization, without line management authority
  • The job holder will be required to understand the contribution of programs in the wider business context, and manage accordingly
  • There will be a requirement to work with people from multiple different cultures globally, understanding the variation in approach, and adapting own practices accordingly
  • The position will require occasional global travel to support business needs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
