Upstate Veterinary Specialties (UVS) is a privately owned, specialty and emergency veterinary practice located in the Capital District of upstate New York. Our mission is to help our patients live longer, happier lives through expert medical care and compassionate customer service.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Call Center Operator to join our Client Relations team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Answer phones and direct calls to other hospital personnel as needed
  • Manage multiple phone lines effectively
  • Accurately record messages using the message center and sent them to the appropriate department or individual
  • Answer general inquiries from clients and referring practices
  • Assist clients in making payments over the phone as needed

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Veterinary or Human Medical field
  • Must be able to multitask while remaining professional, focused, composed and positive.
  • Must be able to establish an appropriate and effective rapport with patients, co-workers and medical staff.
  • Excellent customer service skills and must display integrity, friendliness and compassion.
  • Basic computer skills

Schedule: Monday through Friday 11:00 am to 7:30 pm
