We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Consultant to join our growing team. Our primary requirement for this position is a highly qualified, ethical individual who is interested in on-premise to cloud-migration scenarios, can perform complex system designs, implement both on-premise and cloud based solutions, provide maintenance and support for existing cloud based deployments, and serve as a subject matter export on virtualization and cloud migration topics. This position will be responsible for implementing many of our complex deployments (both on-premise and cloud-based) and the ability to grow further with the organization as desired. Currently our work mix is approximately 80% project driven and 20% ongoing maintenance and support for this position. This role will also be responsible for supervising and mentoring more junior members of the team through projects and technical issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the migration and transformation of on-premise infrastructure to Azure based services
• Responsible for cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and operational maintenance
• Responsible to work with the Cybersecurity team on compliance and security practices.
• Providing leadership and implementation support for on-premise infrastructure and projects based on VMWare and Windows platforms.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience with IT systems support
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in an enterprise environment in a system management role
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with system design, architect, and sizing
• Minimum 5 year experience in a lead technical support role providing tier 3+ support in a hierarchal organization
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with IT ticketing system and with responsibility for system documentation
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with system monitoring solutions

3-5 years’ experience in the following areas:

• Extensive experience with Windows on-premise infrastructure, Active Directory, and automation in those environments
• Extensive experience in infrastructure design, build and deployment, including private and public cloud, networking, connectivity, storage, virtualization and identity.
• Experience implementing Azure storage solutions and services
• Experience implementing Azure networking for enterprise organization
• Experience securing, protecting, and monitoring Azure environments
• Experience building and deploying resilient Azure cloud architectures
• Experience working with teams on migration and modernization of workloads from on premise data centers to Azure.
• Experience with Azure platform services to automate cloud services deployments
• Experience with the Azure CLI, PowerShell/Azure PowerShell and the Azure Portal
• Experience working with or using Azure technologies such as virtual machines, blob, queues, tables, Cloud Services, web apps, functions apps, Azure Active Directory, Virtual Networks, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Azure Active Directory, AD Connect, Operations Management Suite/Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, Azure App Services, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Server, Azure Automation
• Certifications are a plus: Azure Administrator, Azure Developer, Azure Architect, Azure DevOps, Terraform, MCSE, Microsoft Entra
• Experience building and deploying Azure resources using IaC (Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience in VMWare based infrastructure including ESXi, vSAN, and vCenter
• Experience in Microsoft InTune and RMM technologies
• Experience in Active Directory
• Working knowledge of ITIL principles
• Ability to maximize knowledge transfer through the production of high quality documentation

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Proficient use of language when giving instructions in person, over e-mail, and over the telephone
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Must demonstrate excellent time management skills
• Expert troubleshooting skills including the ability and experience to quickly diagnose and isolate problems
• Expert with documentation development and revision/change management procedures
• Expert at system design following best practices while accounting for customer business requirements
• Expert knowledge of at least one major backup solution, preferably Veeam
• Proficient with IT ticketing solutions and change management procedures
• Ability to work in a team environment and assume leadership roles as needed for the success of the organization
• Ability to analyze a system for compliance with best practices, identify areas of concern, and develop recommendations to resolve the issues
• Ability to lead a project team and provide project management leadership
• Ability to provide analysis of solutions and their fit with customer requirements
• Ability to mentor more junior Systems team members

COMPENSATION

Annual Compensation ($125,000-180,000 / yr)

Base salary of $125,000 plus bonus. Our average Consultants earns a performance bonus of $30,000 per year with a top performer earning in excess of $55,000 in bonuses per year.
