Job Description :

Commissioning is a systematic process of assuring that a building performs in accordance with the design intent and the owner's operational needs. As a Commissioning Technician, you will work with our commissioning authorities on projects around the region.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Building mechanical systems site inspection and construction meetings
  • Technical report writing
  • Preparing functional test procedures for verifying operation of mechanical systems
  • Detailed HVAC systems testing and assessment
  • Proactive problem identification and resolution
  • Identify Energy Conservation Opportunities
  • Coordination and verification of as-built drawings
  • Coordination and review of shop drawings

The ideal candidate qualifications include:

  • Technical or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in building HVAC and controls systems
  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC field
  • A working knowledge of building automation and control strategies for HVAC equipment
  • An understanding of Mechanical Building Codes and Construction Standards
  • Knowledge of ASHRAE Guidelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
  • Professional Engineer License
  • Ability to travel 25-50% of the work week

Preferred candidates may additionally have:

  • Recognized commissioning certification (CxA, CCP, QCxP, QCP, CxAP, or CAP)
  • LEED Accredited Professional
  • Experience or knowledge of controls systems programming
  • Experience in Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing
  • TAB Certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
