Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and organized Construction Project Coordinator. This position involves direct contact with vendors, customers, estimators, project managers, and owners. This position requires an existing knowledge of customer invoicing, vendor ordering, project timelines, scheduling, material orders, and billing, within the construction industry.

Construction Project Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities:

  • · Establish strategies to acquire, receive, and track project materials with project management that optimize quality, cost, and timely delivery criteria.
  • · Prepare and communicate to the project management and design teams, product directions, and availability and lead times for key materials.
  • · Prepare, maintain and review purchasing files and records, price lists, locate suppliers, approve bills for payment, calculate the cost of orders, and monitor inventory transfer.
  • · Oversee the full array of materials management and procurement with relation to purchasing, expediting, shipping and receiving.
  • · Develop plans for the organization and storage of project materials and general inventories at various storage locations. Ensure maintenance of accurate records for all stored materials.
  • · Support, and in some cases lead, cost reduction efforts.
  • · Manage all returns, damage replacements, and warranty claims.
  • · Create, use, and manage all construction tools including logs and reports of all contracts, purchase orders, work orders, change orders, shop drawings, RFI’s, and construction drawings.
  • · Perform additional assignments as required by the operating needs of the main office or as directed by the Senior Project Manager
  • · Conduct research via the Internet, catalogues, trade publications, and trade shows to identify potential suppliers
  • · Submit subcontractor purchase order requests
  • · Complete permit applications and follow through to make sure they are approved
  • · Request and provide apprentices as need on prevailing wage jobs.
  • · Submit and track invoices, pay applications, change orders, and releases to customers.
  • · Collect, review, and resolve deficiencies.
  • · Process project close-outs

Construction Project Coordinator Requirements and Qualifications:

  • · A high school diploma or equivalent
  • · 2+ years of administrative & billing experience within the construction field
  • · Proficiency with computers and office programs such as Quickbooks and Excel (ProCore a plus)
  • · Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • · Reliable transportation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
