Position Summary: Business partner to President and Chief Financial Officer. Responsible for ensuring that CSTH’s financial records are maintained in a complete and accurate manner consistent with generally accepted accounting principles. Primary responsibilities include supervision of the monthly close process, year-end audit activities, manage accounts receivable and accounts payable activities, all banking activities, and managing the financial controls environment. In addition, this position partners with other functions outside of Accounting and Finance to identify opportunities and risks as well as developing plans to manage, forecast and improve financial results and cash flow.
Financial Reporting, Accuracy & Compliance (25%)
- Provide accurate and complete financial results and analyses to Chief Financial Officer.
- Ensure department Policies & Procedures are developed, maintained and followed.
- Maintain and ensure financial control compliance.
- Ensure all financial transactions, reviews and reconciliations are performed timely, accurately and completely.
- Ensuring accuracy of financial presentation of company assets including leases.
- Manage all financial audits and ensure all findings are properly resolved with corrective actions.
- Manage all financial reporting to Management, Board, and Banks.
Cash Management (25%)
- Manage all banking activities. Report banking activity and balances daily. Balance and manage the working capital requirements of the company.
- Ensure all collections are made timely and accurately. Ensure adequate controls are maintained for all accounts.
- Ensure all payments are made timely and accurately. Ensure adequate controls are maintained for all payments.
- Manage Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivable. Ensure all AP and AR items are current.
- Manage debt borrowings.
- Manage banking relationships and banking covenants compliance.
Cost Accounting (20%)
- Ensure inventory is properly valued. All transactions are correctly posted.
- Manage all exception reporting and transactions to identify potential inventory errors.
- Manage physical inventories and cycle count programs including the management of excess and obsolete inventory.
- Manage the standard costing system.
Financial Leadership (15%)
- Work strategically by aligning department goals and initiatives with company goals and initiatives.
- Provide cross functional support to other departments in support of company initiatives.
- Manage all Finance department activities timely and accurately.
- Develop succession plans for all key employees in the department.
- Develop employee development plans for all employees in the department to address better performance in current job, better team player who supports company values, and to prepare for future career growth.
- Ensure other departments within the company understand the financial impacts of their activities to achieve company objectives.
- Provide cross-functional employee policy education.
Budgeting and Forecasting (10%)
- Manage daily cash forecasts.
- Manage monthly forecasting activities.
- Improve forecasted results by identifying opportunities and risks and initiate improvement plans for better financial results.
- Manage annual budgeting activities.
Miscellaneous Tasks (5%)
- Ensuring Tax filings are performed timely and accurately.
- Manage capital assets.
- 401k Management.
- Perform other job related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate complex financial information effectively to varying audience levels.
- Highly organized and able to manage simultaneous deadline-oriented projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with both internal and external personnel.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4-year undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
- MBA and/or CPA desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years work related experience within the accounting/finance field.
- Supervisory experience
- Strong computer skills including spreadsheets, databases, accounting systems and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or other reporting software helpful.

- This role can expect minimal travel.

- This position requires spending time in a seated position while working at a computer station for extended periods of time.
