Director of Accounting Benefits and Compensation:

Director of Accounting Job Duties:

• Own evolution and execution of month end close process, including approval of journal entries, account reconciliations, analyzing financials for variances, and reporting
• Lead, mentor and evolve accounting team to ensure timely, accurate and robust accounting, analysis and reporting
• Oversight of cost accounting, ensuring costs are recorded correctly, variance analysis review, annual update of BOM’s for budgeted allocations
• Oversee payroll processing and the accuracy of the accounting journal entries, including accruals
• Create and implement internal control policies and procedures
• Coordinate operational budgets, including capital spending and ongoing analysis of operational expenses
• Create and maintain quarterly 36 month rolling forecast

Director of Accounting Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required, CPA certification preferred
• Full cycle accounting, strong knowledge of GAAP
• Strong leadership development skills, including prior experience supervising a team of manager level staff
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, primarily advanced Excel skills
• Experienced in maintaining and improving accounting systems and applications
• Advanced technical and analytical skills required
• Ability to thrive in fast paced, dynamic environment
• Superb attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication skills required
