A large resort in Massachusetts, is seeking a self-starter to take full-charge and head the IT function as Director of Information Technology. The IT Director also collaborates closely with other departments to understand their IT requirements, needs and preferences and will install these systems accordingly. They also regularly scan and evaluate the organization’s current systems to find any risks, vulnerabilities and improvement opportunities. The IT Director will meet with the leadership team to propose and recommend any new software to help the company meet their organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
· Ensuring data security and compliance with relevant regulations, including PCI is a central role.
· Maintain all systems, especially PMS, POS, Spa, Membership, Tee-Sheet, HSIA and Voice Telecom
· Cultivate strong, positive and ethical relationships with vendor partners.
· Handle on-call duties and respond to colleagues and guest service requests as needed.
· Plan annual capital and operating budgets
· Manage to budget & identify exceptions as they occur
· Monitor expenses for exceptions and potential exposure
· Maintain all aspects of data security, including PCI compliance
· Develop test and maintain the IT elements of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans
· Cultivate outstanding relationships with vendor partners to enhance support responsiveness
· Supervisory responsibility: IT Department personnel (1). Indirect supervision of all users of IT systems in the resort.
Requirements:
· Five years of previous experience working in information technology leadership role with three years in hotel/resort environment
· Excellent written and verbal communication
· Hands-on experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining operation systems, management, email and backup servers.
· Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
· Ability to lead and teach others
· Up-to-date knowledge of latest IT developments
· Ability to write reports and memoranda explaining issues, opportunities and resolution
· In-Room Entertainment technologies
· Voice Telecommunications and Networks
· Knowledge of best computer security practices
· Analytical mind and research orientation
